About Us

Welcome to Valley Fort RV Park & Storage—a place built from the ground up with intention, hard work, and a heart for serving travelers and working families passing through North Alabama. As a family-owned and operated business, this land has always been part of our vision. We saw an opportunity to create something meaningful here: a well-kept, welcoming RV park that meets the real needs of people traveling through and working in the area.

Our location was carefully chosen. Positioned conveniently between Athens and Madison, just minutes from I-65 and only four miles from the new Buc-ee’s, Valley Fort offers easy access without the noise and congestion of the city. It’s the best of both worlds—close to everything you need, yet peaceful enough to truly unwind after a long day.

We designed our park to accommodate RVs of all sizes, with full hookups and utilities included in every stay—water, sewer, trash, and electric—so guests can focus on comfort instead of logistics. Our amenities were selected with real-life needs in mind, especially for our many contractors and long-term guests. On site, you’ll find washer and dryer facilities, clean showers, a relaxing back porch area, and convenient vending machines, making daily life on the road simpler and more enjoyable.

Above all, Valley Fort is about community and hospitality. We take pride in maintaining a friendly, small-town atmosphere where guests feel safe, respected, and truly at home. Whether you’re staying for a night, a month, or longer, our goal is to provide a clean, dependable, and welcoming place to land.

My wife and I stayed here recently while visiting the area. It’s a nice small facility with some long term residents, but it was very quiet and well kept. It’s in a great location well situated for visiting Madison, Huntsville, or Athens (which was our favorite). I never met her in person, but Angie (I believe an owner) was very patient and helpful. She answered any question and was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the area!

Angie and Doug are the sweetest, kindest and most helpful people we have met in our travels. We fulltime RV and they have been nothing but helpful and amazing. Quiet small park perfectly between anything you need or want. Country right outside the city. Every one of our neighbor guests have been wonderful as well! Many full timers but Doug and Angie keep this park so perfectly run that you wouldn't guess most of these guests are here for longer stays. Bathhouse, laundry, fenced in dog area. Storage if you need it too! -Ben and Martika- 🤗

A nice, simple campground, not far from the shopping district in the Huntsville/Athens area. The weekend I was there, it was quiet, easy in and out, no fuss and able to get local TV stations.

What type of RV sites do you offer?

We offer well-maintained RV sites with full-hookups (water, sewer, electric) for rigs of all sizes.

Do you allow long-term stays or is it only for short stays?

Yes — we accommodate various stay durations. If you intend to stay long-term, please contact us ahead of time so we can ensure availability and pricing.

Are pets allowed?

Yes — we are pet friendly! We do ask that pets be kept on a leash and that owners clean up after them for the comfort of all guests.

What amenities are available on-site?

Among our amenities are bath-house facilities, laundry, full utilities at each site (30 amp/50 amp electric, water, sewer) and well-kept grounds.
